Yara's 2BR Terrace Retreat

Positive: The mountain view and the responsive host. Negative: For $130/night, I don't expect to stay at the Ritz, but it sure as hell isn't pocket change. The location points to a restaurant, next to which the apartment is located. You have to call the host to figure it out. Ideally, pictures of the outside can be sent after booking confirmation. The night we arrived, there was a party with really loud music. The apartment itself is not bad. But poorly maintained. I didn't read that there is no AC and, silly me, thought there'd be ceiling fans to help fend off the scorching heat. We couldn't leave the windows open overnight because the apartment is on the ground floor and there's no window protection. And if you keep the blinds open, you'll get slowly roasted by the wonderful July sun. The furniture is dirty or not well kept. There is a layer of dust everywhere. The bathroom water pressure is suboptimal at best. Wifi was advertised but broken. And there's no kettle, coffee, or tea - stuff you expect everywhere nowadays. Thank you for the water though. Lastly, we woke up to loud construction works next door, the next morning. Either some really bad timing here or just not a suitable place to stay.
